Daniel Z. Rivlin is an associate of Chemtob Moss Forman & Talbert, LLP specializing in Matrimonial and Family Law including divorce, property distribution, child custody, spousal support, child support, and matrimonial agreements (pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and separation agreements).
Daniel is a passionate and zealous advocate for his clients who is not afraid to fight the tough legal battles. He is particularly attuned to the interplay of litigation and settlement techniques required to produce optimal results. His primary focus is to understand the goals of his clients and works closely with them to achieve those goals. In addition to his oral advocacy and negotiation skills, Daniel is an excellent writer. He is terrific under pressure and able to help guide his clients through fiercely contested divorce and custody disputes. In addition to his formidable litigation skills, Daniel is always cognizant of the fact that reaching a settlement is often his client’s primary goal. He often finds creative solutions to difficult settlement obstacles and works tirelessly towards reaching favorable settlements for his clients. Daniel is also extremely compassionate and understanding. He understands his clients are going through one of the most difficult times in their lives and often need encouragement, patience and moral support in addition to legal advice.
Daniel began his legal career practicing Commercial and Civil Litigation and Real Estate Litigation. Prior to joining Chemtob Moss Forman & Talbert, he practiced matrimonial law at another New York City law firm. Daniel graduated from Rutgers School of Law – Camden, where he was a New Developments Editor on the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion and received top honors for his oral advocacy. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association; Family Law Section – NYSBA; New York County Lawyers’ Association; Morris Pashmin Inn of Court; and American Bar Association.
