Nita represents individuals in all aspects of Family and Matrimonial Law including divorce, property distribution, child custody, spousal support, child support, and matrimonial agreements (pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and separation agreements).

Nita is a tenacious and concerned advocate for her clients who is determined to find the best possible solution no matter how tough or complex the legal battle might entail. While she is a fierce negotiator who thrives under pressure in the courtroom, she is equally known by her clients for her affable and down to earth nature outside the courtroom, largely contributed to by her Midwest roots. Nita understands that these are among the most trying times that her clients will likely ever face and knows the importance of not only carefully guiding her clients through the divorce process, but listening to them with the patient and encouraging ear they often need. Nita is also exceptionally creative in finding unique solutions for complicated and often delicate settlement situations.

Prior to joining the firm, Nita was an associate at Kuhn, Mitchell, Moss, Mork & Lechowitz, LLC, and The Chawla Group, LTD, both general litigation firms where Nita’s primary focus was Family and Matrimonial Law. Nita is a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the New York County Lawyers Association. In addition to New York, Nita is licensed to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin. Nita received her law degree in 2003 from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her undergraduate degree in 2000 from the University of Arizona.
